Dear All,
we are thrilled to invite you to the 7th Congress of the Italian Society for Evolutionary Biology (SIBE), which will take place in Rome (Italy) on the days 28-31 August 2017.

The congress will be organized by the Department of Sciences of Roma Tre University, the Department of Biology of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and the Department of Biology and Biotechnologies “Charles Darwin” of Sapienza University of Rome.

The congress will be structured in seven sequential symposia. Their subjects were selected accounting for the existing broad spectrum of interests and approaches to the study of Evolution, as also clearly emerged from the diversified feedback of SIBE members. Here they are:

Advanced models and technologies for the study of Evolution
Biogeography and Systematics
Evo-Devo
Evolution and Conservation
Co-Evolution and Symbiosis
Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology
The effects of drift and selection on populations and genomes: expectations and observations

We also foresee a poster session and a round table, this last focused on a theme at present very important: Popularization of Evolution.

The SIBE 2017 congress will take place at the Department of Sciences of ROMA TRE University. Rome can be easily reached by air or railway from all over the world. The Department of Sciences is 10 minute walking from the subway which also takes you to the ancient Rome in 15 minutes. There is a range of hotels, B&B, hostels, restaurants and pubs both close to the Department of Sciences or easy to reach by subway. More details will be soon available on this website http://sibe2017.uniroma2.it.

We hope that you will join us for the SIBE 2017 congress and look forward to seeing you in Rome this coming August.
